This 1870s San Francisco Victorian became our next full remodel after longtime AGC clients spotted it just blocks from their recently completed Castro condo. Working with architect Ari Gessler and interior designer Tineke Triggs, the home was reimagined through a bold Neo-Gothic lens.
The project began below grade, with excavation of the original brick foundation and slab to unlock 1,000 square feet of new living space; including a music studio, guest room, and laundry. Above, the floor plan was fully reworked into an open, expressive interior featuring custom Victorian millwork, herringbone floors, inset bookcases, a floating steel fireplace, zinc countertops, and bespoke cabinetry. This transformed into an eclectic, high-craft home built for clients who don’t shy away from character.
