We helped transform this 1960s ocean-view house into a modern, low-maintenance home for our client who wants to gracefully age-in-place without sacrificing her unique style and design flair. It’s been featured in Dwell Magazine.

Heavily influenced by Japanese design, our client insisted on incorporating various elements and details that speak to this rich history. Natural materials such as rift white oak, plaster, patterned carpets, and sculptural art capture the changing quality of light.

Hidden details throughout the home, like this backlit bar wrapped in pale lava stone and oak, have been intentionally crafted to be both discrete and beautiful.
